(Norwalk Reflector (OH) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) July 02--Area authorities met Thursday with Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler and Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper about the ongoing investigation surrounding Willard resident Jamie Aguirre.

The former ultrasound technician, who used to work at M e r c y Wi l l a r d Hospital, is accused of voyeurism and child p o r n o g r a -- phy at a Tiffin facility.

In March, Aguirre withdrew his "no contest" pleas in Portage County Common Pleas Court to 11 felony charges of possessing nudityoriented material involving minors and four misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The case, stemming from an Oct. 25 traffic stop, is pending. In the vehicle, Brimfield Township police said they found video equipment and digital memory cards containing about 200 photographs and roughly 30 videos taken during procedures at Advanced Medical Imaging, where Aguirre worked for nearly two years. That led to a search of his Holiday Lakes, Willard, residence.

During the Willard search in October, authorities seized a Dell computer tower and a laptop computer that later were analyzed by computer forensic specialists. The two Brimfield Township police officers who met Thursday with Leffler, Kasper and local sheriff's deputies turned over those two pieces of evidence and other undisclosed items.

Huron County Sheriff's Capt. Bob McLaughlin said 15 to 20 sexually explicit images were discovered on the Dell computer tower, which could result in local second- or third-degree felonies for Aguirre.

"I don't think I want to get into too many details (about the images)," McLaughlin said.

The two Brimfield Township officers said Thursday they expect Aguirre to be sentenced "in a week or two" in Portage County, but he probably will only be sentenced to the time he's already served, McLaughlin said. Aguirre has been in custody at the Seneca County Jail in lieu of a $750,000 bond since his Oct. 25 arrest.

Once the Portage County case is resolved, it is expected to be transferred to Seneca County Common Pleas Court.

In Huron County, McLaughlin said Aguirre could face "heavier felonies due to the explicit nature of the photographs." When asked to clarify what happened in Thursday's meeting, Kasper said, "We have had initial discussions to get updates on the (ongoing) investigation." In mid-June, a Willard storage rental unit company found various Mercy Willard Hospital records Aguirre stored there.

However, Mercy CEO and President Lynn Detterman said at the time there was nothing considered suspicious, pornographic or of a criminal nature in the storage unit. She noted that some of the documents -- 12 images, radiology registration forms, schedules, written reports "and a few internal memos that he kept -- and that's it" -- contained patients' personal information, including Social Security numbers.

There was one image each of a foot and sinus cavity and 10 ultrasounds, Detterman said, but none of the ultrasounds were of female genitalia.

The rental unit company notified Mercy officials that Aguirre hadn't been paying his rent when they opened it to rent it to another customer.
