The report said that the investment of $180 million in 2011 is 45% higher compared with 2010. The investment will be used on technology and infrastructure to expand the company's coverage in the country.

In 2011, the company plans to start testing long-term evolution technology and continue providing new services such as video chat and mobile payment services. Mr Escobar said that the company is also planning to drop the Porta name in the second quarter of 2011 and start operating under America Movil's Claro brand.
