Klausner Technologies launches patent lawsuits against HP and Oracle

Oct 26, 2011 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Visual Voicemail specialist Klausner Technologies Inc said today that it has launched legal action against technology company Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPQ) and business software and hardware systems company Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) concerning its US Visual Voicemail patents.

The two lawsuits are based on sales in the United States of enterprise messaging products which allow users to visually identify and selectively retrieve enterprise voicemail. The products from HP and Oracle are said to infringe Klausner Technologies' Visual Voicemail patents.

Both lawsuits have been filed in federal court in the Eastern District of Texas by New York law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.

Klausner Technologies said that it currently has 34 Visual Voicemail patent licensees under its US, European and Asian patents, including major US and European mobile operators, international mobile phone manufacturers, cable/VoIP providers as well as providers of Visual Voicemail products and services for the enterprise market.
