DMSL aims to capitalise on BTS re-entry into SMB mobile market

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Romford -- DMSL, the SMB-focused distributor of connectivity and cloud solutions, is aiming to help resellers make the most of BTs re-entry into the business mobile marketplace.

BT is launching a set of smartphones along with airtime and data options, which it has put together in collaboration with EE, aimed at SMBs with mobile workers and micro businesses or the self-employed who need to stay in touch at all times and keep costs firmly under control.

Uniquely, BT will offer seamless roaming between 4G and its extensive WiFi hotspot network around the UK, enabling customers to benefit from exceptional coverage and optimum speeds wherever they are in the UK. In addition, BTs 4G service will offer superior reception in dense urban areas and buildings.

DMSL will be promoting the new services through SMB reseller partners, with a series of offers and incentives. It will be targeting existing BT broadband customers using its own unique sell-through model to generate interest for customers, who will be offered attractive packages on BT mobile services.

John Carter, Managing Director of DMSL, believes its a good opportunity. BTs decision to partner with EE now is a good one. As more small businesses start to use hosted services and the cloud more extensively they need to know that they can connect anytime, anywhere. They also want to avoid unexpected costs and large bills for data usage. The new services meet these requirements and the fact that they come from a trusted name like BT, will make them much easier to sell.

There should be no shortage of business and DMSL will be looking to generate new business for resellers straight away, he added. The extensive installed-base of BT broadband customers means there is a ready-made market for BTs mobile services. If you have sold BT broadband in the past, you should be able to sell BT mobile services now. We will be tapping into our extensive database to drive business opportunities for our SMB partners. We expect to see immediate and widespread interest in the BT services, so resellers need to be ready to talk to their customers.

Margins on the new services will be attractive and with customers signing up to one or two-year contracts, there will be opportunities to earn repeat revenues. The new BT mobile offerings are just one more string on the extensive bow of services that resellers can now offer to SMB customers. Broadband was just the first they can now offer more extensive connectivity, VoIP, security, backup and a whole range of applications too. All of these services lead to more opportunities as they need to be supported and managed and they will also need to be renewed at some stage.

The way ICT solutions and services are bought and consumed in the SMB market is changing; resellers need to adapt and change their business models in response. DMSL is enabling them to make that change by making it easier to sell these services and move into the next era.
