Just when you thought she was going to include it in her next infamous giveaway show (“And YOU get a Microsoft (News - Alert) Surface!”) she apparently only loves Microsoft’s latest brainchild enough to buy a multitude for her loved ones and not herself, as she was recently caught tweeting her love of the new product from her iPad.

“Gotta say love that SURFACE! Have bought 12 already for Christmas gifts. #FavoriteThings,” the notorious TV show host said.

The big O apparently loved the Surface so much that she bought 12 as Christmas gifts – coming in at a hefty sum, seeing how the advanced new tablet starts at a whopping $499. Despite this, she apparently doesn’t own one just yet.

And she just can’t stop clicking away, either, having sent some more 140-word messages earlier this month, as well. One, saying that the “picture seems #sharper on Surface. #FavoriteThings.” Additionally, the “keyboard [is] easier for me on Surface. #FavoriteThings.”

This really must be one of her favorite things, then! Earlier this month, Business Insider also explained how Oprah once again called the tablet one of her favorite things, even comparing it to a Mercedes-Benz:

"The Surface, Microsoft's first tablet, feels like a Mercedes-Benz to me, people! The full-size keyboard built right into the cover makes work easy, the very smart kickstand makes watching a movie or Skyping a friend a delight, the less than a pound-and-a-half weight makes a great alternative to a laptop, and the many other features make it fun for work and play. Now, that's a wowser!"

It could be true that she was in fact using Surface, seeing how there is not yet an official Twitter (News - Alert) app for it.

While Oprah loves her new 12 Surface tablets, it seems Microsoft is looking to pull itself out of a hole CEO Steve Ballmer verbally dug regarding its sales so far. According to Ballmer, sales of the recently released tablet have been “modest,” which makes many wonder how it will fare in the coming months among already heavy contenders in the space.

Of course, the company was quick to respond – or what seems like rephrase – Ballmer’s statement, saying, “When asked about Surface, Steve’s use of the term ‘modest’ was in relation to the company’s approach in ramping up supply and distribution of Surface with Windows RT, which has only been available via our online store and certain Microsoft retail stores in the U.S.”

However, Tony Rizzo (News - Alert), a mobility expert, aptly notes that Microsoft’s standalone stores “are as yet fairly few and far between…There has been no other way to touch, test or otherwise buy one.”

Apparently, the only person who can actually attest to having touched and tested Microsoft’s Surface tablet is Oprah. We kid, but hey, we’re not complaining, it quickly became one of her #FavoriteThings.
