Zansors Creates New Sleep Patch that Measures Your Sleep Personality

Imagine being able to wake up, look at a certain combination of a color and number, and know instantly how your breathing and movement patterns affected your night’s sleep, and how they can possibly affect your mood for that particular day.

Zansors is one step closer to making that a reality.

Zansors, a Sensor technology company, created a prototype sleep patch called ZeeMee, which measures your sleep personality while you sleep. While unconscious, the ZeeMee will measure your breathing pattern throughout the night, as well as your movements and render sleep patterns based on both.

With the data, Zeemee can assign users a sleep score that uses a number and color scale, making it easier to understand your sleep personality.

Zansors motto is “Stick, Sleep, Score,” and by making the sleep patch so small, that’s exactly what customers can do. The patch is only small in stature, measuring 1.5 inches by 2.0 inches, but it comprises 99 total parts including sensors and batteries.

Not only is the patch small, but it’s wireless for maximum comfort. While attached to your skin, the patch shouldn’t be any more noticeable than wearing a small bandage.

Data also assigns you a number between one and five which directly correlates to your motion. You then match the color and number and render a sleep pattern. Of course, the way customers are able to read the data doesn’t do justice to the experts who translate it so it makes sense.

“We studied both breathing and motion data for months and created a proprietary algorithm that can interpret the data collected and give our users easy-to-understand yet meaningful results every morning,” said Dr. Abhijit Dasgupta, chief data science officer for Zansors.

The ZeeMee sleep patch is still in a prototypical phase, but don’t be surprised if it hits the market sooner than expected.
