I miss the days of having art class on a daily basis, in which I got to select from a rainbow of colors and pick my favorite one to color inside of the lines for as long as I wanted, or at least until the class ended. But hey, since crayons are used by nearly every age group, Griffin Technology has decided to unveil three new Apple (News - Alert) friendly add-ons that are sure to light up the lives of everyone who uses it.

Selling for around $29.99, the Crayola Light Marker powers a small air guitar. When the artist draws into the air, the marker-shaped pen will then send the image directly to the iPad’s front-facing camera, enabling those who love to draw to have virtually no limit when it comes to what they will do next with their masterpiece. Unfortunately, it might be an extra cold winter for those excited about this product because it won’t be coming to the market until the spring. However, when you purchase it, you will receive a Light Marker app for free, news that will warm the hearts of excited creators worldwide.

Next is the Crayola Color & Play Workstation. Similar to a tool box, it allows those ready to make something out of nothing to hold all of their valuables such as crayons and markers in one place, in addition to their iPad, of course. It can work seamlessly with an array of Crayola’s apps currently on the market, will officially be debuted in the spring and has a price tag (News - Alert) of $19.99.

Love to color but love technology even more? Then this last add-on is definitely made for you. With the ability to get this bad boy into your magical hands right now, the Crayola Digital Activity Center can be utilized no matter where you are located. It fully protects the iPad, and comes complete with everything a budding Picaso needs to get down to business – ranging from crayons and markers to ColorStudioHD and DigiTools. You can even access multiple other Crayola apps like Silly Face Swaps; Lights, Camera, Color!; Paint & Create; and ColorStudio HD for a steal at $39.99.

Art to some is like air—they can’t live without it. And for those who haven’t always been inclined to pick up a crayon or marker and make a beautiful picture, technology such as the products mentioned above are helping them one step at a time to feel more confident in their end result. According to a recent survey from Pew (News - Alert) Research involving nearly 1, 256 arts organizations, “The Internet and social media are integral to the arts in America."

Findings show that over half (81 percent) of those polled strongly believe the Internet and digital technologies are "very important" for promoting the arts, while 78 percent of respondents believe that technology is "very important" for increasing audience engagement within the arts space.

So no matter if you consider yourself to be a master at being “artsy fartsy” or don’t believe you could draw a tree if your life depended on it, technology is helping even the worst artist improve their capabilities one mark at a time.
