A recent milestone of today’s YouTube (News - Alert) star-turned-teen pop sensation, Justin Bieber, has been officially confirmed. The quickly maturing teen heartthrob, who turns 19 this March, outshined the world’s most monstrous musician, Lady Gaga, to become the most-followed person on Twitter (News - Alert).
Does it honestly come as any surprise that the Biebs boasts more followers than scholars and world leaders? The kid has more No. 1 hit singles than I’ve had pets throughout my entire life. Either way, on Monday night, Beliebers proved their unwavering digital loyalty. There are certainly no less lonely girls, but rather almost 33,400,000 who all follow the “Beauty and a Beat” singer’s Twitter updates.
Specifically, Bieber currently has 33,386,626 Twitter devotees, and the number keeps racing upward by the second. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga misses by just the skin of her teeth at a close 33,364,448. Bieber himself follows around 123,800 profiles, while Gaga 136,360. While these numbers could change in direction at any time, it seems that Bieber has cemented his clear gain with a more steady lead than Gaga.

CNN Tech reported that according to Twitter Countdown, this surpassing was expected for Sunday afternoon. Gaga did enjoy a long reign, however, after dethroning the queen of pop, Britney Spears, back in 2010.
While it looks like Gaga is certainly on the right Twitter track, perhaps her profile was just created that way.
But hey, it can’t be too bad to be runner-up. In a list of Twitter’s top 10 users, below Bieber and Gaga are Katy Perry, Rihanna, Barack Obama, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift (News - Alert), YouTube, Shakira and at the very tail end, Kim Kardashian.
