Facebook (News - Alert) is the go to place to share ideas, express your feelings, and even voice your somewhat controversial opinions. While many people use the website to escape their boring real lives, even more use the mobile app for Facebook while on-the-go as a way to stay connected with friends, family and colleagues. Just today, book users, including me, got the welcome surprise of new app update which includes capabilities such as: being able to send voice messages, recording and sharing videos directly from within the application, and connecting with your favorite places using the “Nearby” tab.
According to a piece featured on the Los Angeles Times, “To access the recording voice message feature, select name, tap the ‘+’ sign and select the mic icon. Hold down the red record button that appears and begin speaking. When done, simply let go of the button and the message is sent. To cancel the message, slide the finger away from the record icon.” With the ability to send messages that can span up to nearly 60 seconds long, Facebook is enabling its devoted users to rapidly inform anyone about nearly anything without delay.
In addition, Facebook lovers can now record videos within the Facebook app by going to the "photo" tab, clicking the camera icon located at the bottom left of the app and then changing the settings from photo to video. This will help shave off crucial minutes social media enthusiasts used to waste when taking a video from outside of the Facebook app.

Moreover, hiding embarrassing or just unwanted posts is much easier than before this upgrade. “Users simply tap a three dot icon on the top right of the post they want to hide and then select the option ‘Hide.’ They can also report or mark a post as spam that way,” the piece added.
It seems as if Mark Zuckerberg’s (News - Alert) bouncing baby is growing by leaps and bounds by the week and only two weeks ago the site revealed that it now encompassed a graph search capability that highlights people, photos, places and interests specifically. While still in its beta phase, he showed how the robust feature worked through search examples such as “Mexican restaurants in Palo Alto (News - Alert), Calif. my friends have been to" and "photos of me and Priscilla."
