With thousands of apps surfacing every day, annoying daily tasks are eliminated with some innovative user-friendly, time-saving life-savers. Gone are the days waiting in long lines at the movie theater in hopes to purchase tickets to the midnight release of your favorite saga. With apps like Fandango, which provides users with movie times, reviews, trailers and the ability to purchase tickets, a night out at the movies just isn’t the same.

Fandango and Apple iPhone (News - Alert) users have something to celebrate with the recent announcement stating that now customers using iOS devices can purchase movie tickets through Siri. Apple’s (News - Alert) personal assistant is all you need to plan your next movie night out.

Using their iOS device of choice, the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 6.1, users ask Siri to find a particular movie, local theater or showtime. Savvy Siri then gives users the option to “buy tickets” using the Fandango app.

"Fandango is committed to innovating across all platforms and helping shape the future of movie going," said Paul Yanover, president of Fandango.

"With this new Siri feature, movie fans can quickly and easily discover the nearest theaters, find the most convenient showtimes, and buy tickets through Fandango to help make movie night perfect."

Even better, users can add their “mobile ticket” to Passbook, which allows the users to scan their iPhone or iPod touch to enter the movie.

Fandango is no stranger to innovation and popularity; in 2012 its mobile ticket sales increased 171 percent year over year, and the company experienced a 50-percent increase in mobile app downloads.

Siri is also compatible with Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter. Got something on your mind, but your hands are tied? Users can ask Siri to update their Facbook status or post a comment, and on Twitter (News - Alert), users can ask Siri to tweet for them.

Just be careful what you ask of her – she’s been known to be a little saucy….
