There has been a lot of hype around Apple (News - Alert) lately, and most of it has been well, quite embarrassing to the company. From iOS updates with multiple bugs, to the iPhone 6 bending in half in people’s pockets, Apple has a lot of work to do.

Many Apple users were very disappointed after downloading the iOS 8 to their iPhones and iPads. iOS 8 was meant to give Apple users features they have been waiting for and get rid of long standing issues with iOS’s notification system.

Unfortunately, The new update created more problems than it solved- including a non functional HealthKit app, the inability to detect third party keyboards, and blocking applications from the photo library.

Users were relieved when Apple then released the iOS 8.0.1 software to fix these bugs, but this update only made things worse. Launched on Wednesday afternoon, Apple immediately received a shockingly high slew of complaints from users who downloaded the new update. They soon removed the faulty update, but a number of users had already installed it.

Users complained of the update blocking cellular reception, and users couldn’t find a solution to retrieve their reception. The TouchID feature was also not working at all. The iPhone (News - Alert) 6 and iPhone 6 plus seem to be seeing the worst of the update’s flaws, while the older versions of the iPhone and iPad don’t seem to be facing as many issues.

Apple has encourage its users to downgrade to iOS 8, with steps on how to do so on its website. Last year when Apple release iOS 7, only a few days later it rolled out iOS 7.01 and a week later launcher iOS 7.0.2 to fix the rest of the glitches. For those users who haven’t downloaded the update yet, consider yourself lucky. For the rest of Apple users it will hopefully only be a matter of days before Apple comes forward with another update to solve these issues.
