AIOps is an important new product category. Solutions in this realm apply artificial intelligence to help IT teams leverage automation and analytics. That allows them contend with the complexity of managing, security, and ensuring optimal performance for business applications and networks.
Moogsoft is among the many players in the AIOps marketplace. Today, the company is launching a new solution called Moogsoft Observe.
“With Observe, we’re advancing the capabilities of AIOps to help IT teams better manage their services and applications in the face of a massive proliferation and decentralization of data,” said Moogsoft CEO Phil Tee.
IT and DevOps teams can employ Observe to quickly and efficiently detect problems and pinpoint the root causes of service disruptions, he added. It does that by ingesting time-series and metrics data in real time. It uses AI for troubleshooting and also stores anomalous and contextual data.
All that enables even IT generalists, like DevOps specialists and site reliability engineers, to get the insight they need to optimize and ensure the availability, performance, and security of business applications and services. That, Moogsoft says, can dramatically lower an organization’s data transport, ingestion, and storage costs because they get better results – and without employing data lakes and data scientists.
“Observe enables trend and historical analysis of relevant, meaningful data but at a lower cost and with significantly reduced latency — reducing the time to detect a problem by up to 60 percent and cutting nearly 90 percent of the storage and communication costs per bit of information,” the company says.
