MOBOTIX (News - Alert) Corp., a provider of high-resolution, network-based surveillance systems, reportedly integrated with Wavestore V5 video management software (VMS).

MOBOTIX claimed that it is renowned for its network camera technology and its decentralized concept has made high-resolution video systems cost efficient. Now the newly announced integration will let the company leverage Wavestore's support of analog surveillance cameras in order to seek new opportunities within hybrid and legacy systems.

For MOBOTIX resellers and customers, the integration will enable them to easily transition from existing infrastructure to IP technologies. For Wavestore customers, they will be able to make use of MOBOTIX' hemispheric and 360-degree cameras to bring down the cost of infrastructure and security personnel because lesser number of cameras are deployed for surveillance.

Wavestore VMS lets the images captured by MOBOTIX network cameras to be stored unaltered which preserves image quality and a single 360-degree image is transmitted regardless of how many dewarped views are being displayed on the WaveView client which ensures faster image updates and streamlined user experience.

Wavestore explained that its V5 VMS was developed to support the latest cameras and technologies and includes new design features, for ease of operation and minimal clicks to complete a variety of tasks. V5's flexibility and scalability reportedly sets a new standard in IP video security software, which delivers both ease of installation and ease of use.

Mike Scirica, vice president of marketing and sales at WavestoreUSA remarked, "This technical relationship demonstrates our commitment to the industry and market demands. As an open-platform solution, V5 can combine MOBOTIX cameras, including hemispheric cameras with legacy analog or new IP video cameras, into a single, user-friendly platform to provide greater functionality and ease of use. Our integration with MOBOTIX is an important step toward delivering customers with more flexible and scalable recording and processing options."

Steve Gorski, general manager of Americas division of MOBOTIX Corp added, "Our partnership with Wavestore demonstrates our collective commitment to providing customers with a variety of surveillance options that deliver unmatched video quality, ease of management and integration, while allowing users to maximize existing investments."
