If you tilt your head to the side and revisit much of the history in technology, you'll see a trend that implies that either irony or karma is running rampant in the industry (along with a substantial amount of historical piracy). Companies that were created by stealing technology are, themselves stolen from, and then copy others only to be copied again. Often, the repeating trend is that the innovative firm doesn't understand what they have, another firm takes that innovation away from them, and history is made. But, more recently (and this is where Samsung comes in), the company takes something, improves it, and then has it taken from them. This is either karma or irony, you pick.
Verizon Wireless, a joint undertaking between Verizon Communications, Inc. and Vodafone Group Plc of UK, scored a huge victory when it received news that the US Justice Department had approved its bid to purchase advanced wireless spectrum from cable operators including Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Cox and Comcast. The DoJ has also approved Verizon's deal to sell a large portion of the wireless spectrum to T-Mobile USA.

There's no denying that Facebook is a downright juggernaut when it comes to social media. With more than half a billion members around the planet, that's one big market to reach with everything from products to services to games and then some.
Google boasts the third largest social network in the world, but despite its massive base of users, Google+ has felt a little abandoned as many users struggle to understand how Google+ fits into their day-to-day lives. Google's response is to woo users back to the social network with tweaks and feature updates.

you're planning on splurging on a new iPhone next month shortly after the release of the company's newest iOS, you'll find something new on this iteration of Apple's wildly popular smartphone: video calling over FaceTime on the cellular network (as opposed to only Wi-Fi, as in previous versions). FaceTime is of course a video conferencing software application and protocol developed by Apple for iOS-based devices and Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.6.6 and higher.
Given that Internet-based crime is on the rise, it's no wonder that companies that take and hold your personal information - name and social security numbers, passwords and logins, bank accounts and credit card numbers - are beefing up security to avoid losing money to theft. An unintended side effect of this, however, is it's often practically impossible to get into your own accounts.
While the iPhone 5's release is still somewhat short on specifics, it hasn't stopped the market from placing big bets on both it and Apple's future as a whole. In fact, the iPhone 5 has reportedly put so much optimism in Apple's future, its market value is now the highest that it's ever been...and higher than any other company has ever seen.
