Data Center Service Provider FORTRUST Expands to NJ, Phoenix

By

Soon, FORTRUST will not just be a company confined to offering services from a dingle data center in Denver, Colorado, as it is expanding to offer colocation services from data centers in New Jersey and Phoenix.

According to Whirl, the company will be using IO modular data center technology at these data centers, while providing colocation services to companies. All three data centers will be powered by a technology called data center 2.0 IO.

A company called IO Data Centers will be offering this modular data center tech to FORTRUST at these data center locations.

IO offers Data Center as a Service (DCaaS). Read more about this company from its Website.

FORTRUST specializes in data center colocation services that it provides to other companies. Data center colocation is a cloud infrastructure service that allows companies to rent server space and bandwidth while it will host its own servers at the location of the data center.

The actual data center is run by another company, FORTRUST in this case, and this service provider will offer space, cooling, physical security and networking equipment for the company hosting its servers at the facility. This means SMBs can concentrate on IT services rather than having to host their servers internally and deal with finding space for their own data center locations.

Here is how the Whirl report explains the advantage of using such services:

"Modular data centers are becoming a more feasible option for web hosts looking to expand their presence in specific markets without building out huge data center projects, in a way that supports the scalability of growing customer bases. IO Anywhere can be delivered to a specified location in a matter of weeks."
