Mixmoov Brings Video Editing to the Cloud

By

The Streaming Media East show in New York yesterday saw the convergence of some of the world’s foremost players in the video industry. From live streaming to transcoding to broadcasting, the solutions abounded as the world of video grows at an exponential rate. Hailing from France, and soon to make a footprint in the U.S., was Mixmoov, a company specializing in video editing solutions that brought a unique perspective on what is needed in the video editing arena and how to take it there.

Mixmoov’s Cloud Video Editing toolbox is intelligently customizable for any brand while simplifying the editing process as a whole for users. The company has been actively accruing partnerships with leading video platforms in order to enable users to edit video without “interrupting their workflows” as Hareesh Vazhaparampil, senior product manager for the company, mentioned in an interview.

Vazhaparampil detailed more of Mixmoov’s foresight and action for us, “Our strategy has been to be partnered with leading video platforms. Online video platforms provide video solutions to most websites for video purposes. Editing is a value-added service that helps customers. If you have the editing service in the cloud, you don’t have to bring it down, you can simply access it on an end-to-end integrated way. You don’t have to break down the work flow to edit it.”

The solution has also been upgraded with new features including full HD editing and publishing capabilities. Users can now import high definition video into the editor from multiple sources as well as create videos within the interface.

The cloud factor here is important as Mixmoov’s Cloud Video Editing solution brings flexibility on several fronts. The solution is white labeled, so customizable for any brand, and can be on-demand or on-premise for the organization using it.

In the same league of broadening its partnerships to bring better video editing capabilities to users, Mixmoov decided to announce its partnership with thePlatform at Streaming Media East yesterday. thePlatform provides online video management and publication, so is a natural fit for Mixmoov’s editing prowess.

There are two added benefits for existing video platform partners of Mixmoov’s: One is that its cloud-based video editing toolbox simply slides in to a platform’s existing infrastructure. No change in workflow is needed. Additionally, Mixmoov is never likely to become a direct competitor of any of these video platform companies, so its partners are rest assured no saucy turn of events will jeopardize the working relationships.

Having access to video online is vital for organizations moving forward in today’s booming video-based world. The easier it is to edit your content, the better your market advantage will be, and, clearly, Mixmoov knows that.
