Chris Gellos Chosen as New Head of Sales for Broadvox

By

In real estate, as the old adage says, the most important factor is “location, location, location.” In hiring salespeople, then, the most important factor is most definitely “experience, experience, experience.” At least, that is what Broadvox (News - Alert) had in mind when they appointed Chris Gellos as its new head of sales.

Broadvox is a communications specialist that offers a wide (or broad, I suppose) range of services, from hosted voice to unified communications to SIP trunking. The company decided to hire Gellos, who has experience in managing and growing sales organizations in the telecommunications and technology space. His most recent position prior to his work with Broadvox was as senior vice president of sales at MegaPath (News - Alert). There, he was in charge of merging sales teams from Speakeasy, MegaPat and Convad. Before that job, Gellos was vice president of sales at Speakeasy. He has also worked at companies such as Qwest (News - Alert) Communications, Electric Lightwave, Citizens Communications and Line One.

At Broadvox, Gellos’ new title will be executive vice president of sales. His sales team will focus on direct, indirect and telesales and he will be in charge of customer account management.

"I am extremely excited to be joining the team at Broadvox and helping the organization continue its rapid growth," said Gellos. "Broadvox has built an outstanding team in Direct sales as well as a fantastic community of Channel Partners. I look forward to expanding these channels."

The management at Broadvox is excited about the announcement as well. "We are fortunate to have a sales executive of Chris' caliber join our team," said Broadvox CEO Bruce Chatterley (News - Alert) (News - Alert). "Chris' sales teams have a passion for helping customers succeed and delivering consistently high performance."
