Arsenal's Digital Future Brightens with NTT DATA Partnership

By

Arsenal Football Club, also known as Arsenal, is a renowned professional football club based in Holloway, North London, England. They compete in the Premier League and have a rich history of success, winning 13 league titles, a record 14 FA Cups, two League Cups, 17 FA Community Shields and a European Cup Winners' Cup.

Although those are pretty impressive honors to have in a trophy cabinet, rival fans always give Arsenal fans banter no matter what they achieve. However, the Arsenal faithful proceed to chant about something no other Premier League club has — an undefeated season from 2003-04. “The Invincibles” will forever be regarded as one of the best teams to ever play the game, and no one can take that away from Arsenal as they proudly chant about it at the Emirates Stadium.

Also, those achievements by the football club are a testament to the great support it receives worldwide. And Arsenal wants to do something more for its 102 million fans worldwide, according to a report from Statista.

Therefore, Arsenal recently named NTT DATA as its Official Digital Transformation Partner to strengthen the club’s connection with supporters from around the world.

“Our ambition is to strengthen our connection with our supporters around the world so that we can serve them better,” said Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal. “Enhancing our digital capabilities is an essential part of this journey where through service and connection to supporters we are able to drive forward our performance and our growth.”

NTT DATA is a $30-plus billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services. Their services include business and technology consulting, data and AI, industry solutions, as well as the development, implementation and management of applications, infrastructure and connectivity.

NTT DATA is a transformation expert in sports and serves as the technology partner for major sporting events globally including the likes of The Open and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Through real-time data analysis, AI, digital twin, and Private 5G technologies at these events, it brings fans closer to their heroes and those defining moments — whether from home, online or in the stadiums of the future.

The partnership with Arsenal will see NTT DATA provide data analytics tools, machine learning and real-time integrations. This will allow Arsenal to create an enriched and hyper-personalized supporter experience as well as deliver tailored content for its communities worldwide.

Supporters will also take advantage of improved capabilities in the wider Arsenal ecosystem with exclusive insights, promotions and offers from the club and its partners.

“Arsenal is one of the most recognized football clubs in the world," said Niccolo Spataro, CEO of NTT DATA in the U.K. and Ireland. "Its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to supporters is pioneering and its goal of placing people at the heart of innovation aligns with NTT DATA’s core values and approach to business. We look forward to partnering with Arsenal, using our expertise to deliver the digital transformation that helps Arsenal create truly remarkable experiences for its supporters worldwide."
