Quantum Telecom, also known as Forum Mobile which provides MVNOs with turn-key solutions and services for their operations, market position and business expansion has revealed that Forumtel, a MVNO in the U.S. for the travel industry has started field trials with their Sticky SIM offering.
Initially, Forumtel started the trial in Miami, Florida, as a part of Forumtel's long distance communication campaign. As part of the trial directed primarily towards the Latin American community, Forumtel began offering its Sticky SIM to Miami-based customers that were calling Mexico. The trial is the first phase of a comprehensive program launch.
The new Sticky SIM is designed to offer customers the ability to dial directly from their mobile handsets without need for calling cards or access number dialing, while still offering competitive pricing.
Forumtel is looking for a turnover of $5-10 million from this project in 2012. Forumtel, an affiliated company of Forum Mobile, specializes in handsets and international cellular services, and provides global travelers and their agents with the lowest costs available for local, international calling, texting and group travel communications services.
"We are anxiously waiting to fully launch our offering" said Ami Segal, Forumtel chairman and owner of the Forum Group, in a statement. "The investments made during the past year result in our current ability to rapidly integrate telecommunication platforms".
Forum Mobile provided an integrated flexible and redundant switching and billing Web-based platform for this project.
In October 2011, Forum Mobile started the implementation of an MVNO in Israel.
"We work with each of our partners and customers to help them reach their business goals. We are proud to be able to launch this trial within two months," said Benny Yehezkel, executive VP of Forum Mobile.
