RIM also said that “native e-mail” will soon be offered, Newsfactor added.

In other recent RIM news, TechZone360 reported that RIM introduced two new BlackBerry smartphones – BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930.

They both feature “stunning and iconic design embedded with an easy-to-use BlackBerry keyboard. The smartphones have a … high resolution, capacitive touch screen, built on a new, performance-driven platform powered by a new BlackBerry 7 operating system …,” reported TechZone360’s Sujata Garud.

“The new BlackBerry Bold smartphones and BlackBerry 7 OS are inspired by millions of customers around the world who want the ultimate combination of performance, functionality, and style,” Mike Lazaridis, RIM president and co-CEO, said in a press release quoted by TechZone360. “These fully-loaded and beautifully-crafted smartphones offer a highly-refined user experience with blazingly fast performance, a brilliant touch screen, and an outstanding typing experience.”

The Bold is built on a platform featuring a 1.2 GHz processor, Liquid Graphics touch screen, and has support for high speed 4G/HSPA+ wide area wireless networks, TechZone360 added.

The BlackBerry World conference gave attendees the opportunity to find out about BlackBerry solutions and future upgrades, discuss details with specialists on BlackBerry products, meet and network with executives, and learn how to use the BlackBerry platform, according to the event’s website.

There were also special events for BlackBerry Channel Partners. There were breakout sessions, and a focus was on partners who market to consumers and details were given on the tools that can lead to success, the event’s website said.
