3DFusion, Cirque du Soleil Display Glasses-Free 3D Digital Signage at Mirage Hotel

3DFusion and Cirque du Soleil are displaying glasses-free digital signage at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas – and it’s no mirage.

The display is being held in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of the Beatles-themed "Love" performance at the hotel, according to a press release carried on istockanalyst.com

"The Mirage Hotel 'Love' 3D display is the first of many 3DFusion installations planned for the Las Vegas area," Paul Cohan, president of Frahan Solutions Inc, the 3DFusion marketing firm, said in the press release.

“Since we are working with such remarkable images, we wanted to clearly convey the artistry and wow factor and draw viewer's right into the show. Add to that an amazing Beatles’ soundtrack – we had the added task of making the imagery compliment the audio,” Bob Farina, president of the Cimarron Group, said in the statement.

The display is also the first glasses-free 3D display which is broadcast quality to be presented in a Mirage Hotel showcase filled with Beatles memorabilia, the company said.

"The Mirage Hotel is happy to house this ground breaking technology," David Seifert, the Mirage Hotel’s manager, adds. "It looks fabulous; this is the wave of the future."

The display also marks the launch of 3DFusion's 3DFMax 52-inch Auto Stereoscopic Display (ASD) in Las Vegas. The 3DFusion solution eliminates the need for 3D glasses, has no viewing restrictions, nor has sight discomfort often associated with 3D displays, according to the press release.

“3DFMax is the first 3D, without glasses, image to offer full motion, full action high resolution video in a self-contained 3D platform addressing multiple vertical markets with the ‘comfort level’ comparable to conventional 2D TV,” according to information presented on the company’s website.

During the National Association of Broadcasters' trade show, held earlier this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, 3DFusion demonstrated a live 3DTV video feed from the 3ALITY Digital 3D camera, while taking a video of a basketball game, reported TMCnet.
